I’ve been a passionate advocate for plant-based living since 1991 when I decided to eliminate meat from my diet at the age of six. At the time, finding plant-based proteins to support my new lifestyle was a challenge as meatless alternatives had not yet gained mainstream popularity.
My growing passion for cooking pushed me to get creative in the kitchen. I started experimenting and developing my own recipes from a young age, discovering along the way how delicious and satisfying meatless alternatives could be. As my journey continued, so did my desire to help others explore the benefits of plant-based eating.
As someone who once loved the bold taste and chewy texture of traditional jerky, I set out to create a plant-based jerky that not only matches the protein content, flavor and texture of the real thing but also aligns with a more conscious, healthy lifestyle.
In 2019, I launched my protein-packed, meatless jerky at Manitoba's Farmers' Markets. It a quickly gained popularity among vegans, vegetarians, and even meat-lovers looking for a better alternative.
Thanks to the support of our amazing community, we have successfully transitioned from local farmers' markets to the shelves of major retailers across Manitoba. Now, we're excited to expand our reach to retailers across Canada (and eventually the world)!
